Wyalusing Presbyterian Church is pleased to welcome our new Pastor, Bruce Jordan. Pastor Bruce began his tenure with WPC on Sunday, January 5th, as he led Sunday morning worship for the first time in his new position. Pastor Jordan has been Commissioned to serve Wyalusing by the Presbytery of Lackawanna for the next two years, with the possibility of extending that service. He lives in Clarks Summit with his wife, Rev. Dr. Martha Jordan, the Pastor of Wyoming United Presbyterian Church in Wyoming, PA. They have two daughters, KD – 24 and Ellie – 20.
Bruce is a lifelong Presbyterian and has served the church in many capacities, serving as an ordained Deacon & Elder, Youth Ministry Director, Administrator, and Financial Secretary for the Presbytery, and most recently as Pastor for Langcliffe Presbyterian Church in Avoca, PA. He has also been very involved with church-run camps in several locations over the years.
Pastor Bruce feels called to serve Wyalusing and share in their “Salt and Light” ministry to the community. He shared this quote he recently read: “Salt is what gives zing and taste to food, and Jesus is calling us to be people who give purpose, meaning, and desire to life. Set the light on the lampstand and if it’s good, and if it’s real, and if it’s beautiful, people will come.”
